Turtles character designs

Still trying to come up with a good design for the two turtles in my little story. Doing a lot of research on turtles but I am going to have to go to a pet store and really get a good look at them.

Final background

This is the final background experiment of mine. I'm not too happy how it came out in the end but I have to do more work on backgrounds.

Turtle

Here'sa turtle character which I am working on. I started on paper then went digital to get some idea of color. The final is the vector image. I'm going to make a walk cycle of him in flash so I will post that later.

Gestures

Doing some gestures so I thought I would post them. The clothed gesture was terrible but the others I was pretty satisfied with. Drawing a foreshortened torso is tough!

Trying to "figure" it out...

I'm trying to be good and do a figure a day but I haven't done any work that is worthy of posting. I'm going to add some anatomy to this later and repost.

Final Painting

Here is the final version of the painting but I still have to get the courage to ink it with nice clean lines. Every time I try the lines are all over the place so I just left that part out.

My new Cintiq!

I finally got my new Cintiq plugged in and working! I didn't have the proper graphics card so I got that and then I had color calibration issues because I am not too computer savy but I am very pleased with the final result. Sorry about the glare and this is my first painting.
